| How to convert .PNG format files to .ICO - Get AveIconifier2, available as a free download by clicking this link. Install the application (you will be presented with a choice for the destination folder, usually: C:\Program Files\AveIconifier2) and run AveIcon executable.  Now, drag one or more PNG files onto the right pane and wait a few seconds until the conversion of the current files is completed.  Go to AveIconifier temp folder (usually: C:\Program Files\AveIconifier2\temp) and grab the icons. It is recommended to remove the files from temp folder after conversion because AveIconifier will overwrite them without asking you. Also, don't close the software after conversion, 'cause it removes all icons from temp folder. Don't forget: Always remove the icons from temp folder when the conversion process is finished! Tips By default, AveIconifier converts the PNG files in 5 common icon sizes - 32 X 32, 48 x 48, 64 x64, 96 x 96 and 128 x 128 pixels. You can add 3 more sizes - 16 x 16, 24 x 24 and 72 x 72 pixels - by right-clicking onto the left pane.
